How we build your website

Four steps — brief, build, review, launch — over about two weeks, at a price agreed before any work starts. No discovery phase you pay for, no design concepts billed by the hour.

You review the build on a live staging link while it is being made, not as a finished surprise at the end.

The four steps

  1. Brief

A half-hour call and a short questionnaire. We establish what you sell, who buys it, where, and what the site has to achieve. You get a fixed price and a page list in writing. Nothing starts until you approve both.

  2. Build

We write the copy and build the site on a staging link you can check whenever you want. You are not waiting until the end to see it — you can watch it take shape and flag anything early.

  3. Review

You go through the finished site and send changes as one list. We work through them. One full round is included in every package.

  4. Launch

Domain pointed, SSL installed, forms tested with a real submission, redirects verified if it is a rebuild, Google Business Profile connected, Search Console and Analytics set up. Then we send you the logins.

What we need from you

Genuinely not much, which is deliberate:

  • Half an hour for the brief call.
  • Your logo, if you have one.
  • Access to your domain, or permission to register one for you.
  • Any photographs of your actual work — these always beat stock.
  • One consolidated round of feedback at review stage.

From the Business package up we write all the text. That is the step that stalls most projects elsewhere, and taking it off your plate is the single biggest reason our builds land on time.

What we do not do

We do not run a paid discovery phase before quoting. We do not present three design concepts and bill for the two you reject. We do not add project management as a line item. And we do not send an invoice larger than the quote — if the scope genuinely changes, we tell you the new number and you decide before we do the work.

The full pricing detail, including what costs extra, is on the website design packages page.

Common questions

What if I do not like the design?

You see it on a staging link while it is being built, not at the end, so problems surface early. One full round of revisions is included. If we are genuinely far apart after that, we will keep working with you rather than hand over something you are unhappy with.

Do you need a deposit?

Half up front, half when the site goes live. If you cancel after the first draft the deposit covers the work done and you owe nothing more.

Who owns the site when it is finished?

You do — the files, the domain and the content, without qualification. If you leave, we hand everything over. There is nothing to buy back.
